The cottages are located in Borzyszkowy, 24 kilometers south of Bytów, by Lake Borzyszkowskie. Within a kilometer, there are four lakes, so you can go for a walk by the water straight from the property, without getting into the car.
The nearest town is Bytów: a medieval Teutonic castle with a museum, the NIMFA swimming complex, and regular shopping when you run out of something. It’s a natural destination for a day when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
For a trip around Kashubia, it’s worth reserving a whole day. Wieżyca with its observation tower offers a view of Kashubian Switzerland, and the open-air museum in Wdzydze Kiszewskie shows what the local villages looked like centuries ago. Closer to the cottages are viewpoints on Mount Siemierzycka and Mount Lemana in Piaszno.
For the active: kayaking on the Brda and Słupia rivers, bike paths and hiking trails around the lakes, and horseback riding in the area. In Borzyszkowy itself, there is a wooden church of Saint Martin from 1723 — worth a quarter of an hour on the way.
For lunch without cooking, we recommend Stacja Smaku. After a whole day outdoors, you return to the cottage, where a pool, grill, and billiard table await you.
